Drew Estate Undercrown Sun Grown
You know I had to pick up the new Undercrown Sun Grown from Drew Estate! It recently received a 92 rating from Cigar Aficionado and the same day, I got a notice from @habanahousecigars that Drew Estate’s Willy Herrera would be in the building that night for an event. Talk about great timing! This cigar features a Sun Grown, Ecuadorian Sumatra seed wrapper, and premium Nicaraguan fillers including an exclusive Ligero leaf for added strength. The binder is a unique Connecticut River Valley Stalk Cut/Cured Sun Grown Habano. These flavors combine to form one of the smoothest and flavorful Sun Grown sticks I’ve had the pleasure of smoking. The Undercrown line is notorious for well balanced cigars, and this is no exception. It starts with an earthy, cocoa tint with a tiny hint of red pepper. While most Sun Grown sticks have a big punch of pepper, the tones of pepper in this one start slow and expand to just balance the earth tones. A very tasty hazelnut flavor develops in the middle and final third of the cigar, giving off a fantastic aroma. A great first impression of this stick!
